What do I do if my creditors call me after my bankruptcy is over?
Get all of the creditor’s contact information and tell him that you have received your discharge in bankruptcy and that he is to contact you no more. Be polite and give him my name and number. If he persists and refuses to stop or to call me, then that is why you want to get his information, because he and his company can be sued, and the fines can be quite large sometimes. If you win, the court usually will make the creditor pay for your attorney fees.
