Where do I send my chapter 13 plan payment?

If the chapter 13 plan payment is not coming out of your paycheck then you need to send it to the address that your attorney gives you unless the chapter 13 trustee gives you one. The chapter 13 trustee in NC gives you a list of labels at the chapter 13 meeting of creditors. In SC the chapter 13 trustees give you a book to read which has their addresses printed on it.

All of the chapter 13 trustees have websites with their information in it and there is a link to them in this website. Most of the chapter 13 trustees use a lockbox system whereby a service receives your money and accounts for it to the chapter 13 trustee. For this reason, there is a delay in the bankruptcy trustee’s getting the actual funds which you mail and crediting them to your account, so you need to send them to the address well enough in advance of the deadline so that you will get credit for paying in a timely fashion. One trustee tells people to mail their payments nine days before they are due.
